5. 5) Southsea Common
A stones throw away from the beach, the common is full of students during the summer. It's an ideal place for a barbeque or a catch up with friends, it's even good for a group study session outdoors! Photo: Chris Moorhouse

6. 6) Albert Road
Albert Road, Southsea is full of independent bars and pubs who often have great student deals. It's also home to the famous Kings Theatre if you're partial to a theatre production. Albert Road is also home to many coffee shops, which are great for lunch and a quick study break. Photo: habibur rahman

7. 7) University of Portsmouth's Student Union
Sadly, the Student Union removed the student bar back in 2019 but it has been replaced with a great study space if you fancy a change of scenery from the library! The Third Space, located on the first floor is a great place to go in-between lectures or for extra-curricular activities. The Union is also home to the Union shop so you can grab yourself a Portsmouth University jumper to wear to lectures! Photo: University of Portsmouth
