Portsmouth families warmly invited to explore growing primary school at their Open Event
A Portsmouth primary school will soon be opening its doors to prospective families, offering parents and carers the opportunity to explore the school’s nurturing environment.

Families considering options for their child to start school are invited to attend one of two upcoming Open Events at New Horizons Primary School, where they can meet staff, tour the classrooms and learn more about the school’s ethos and values.
The Open Events take place on:

Monday 9th November: 9:30am – 10:30am
Thursday 12th November: 5:30pm – 6:30pm
Visitors will have the opportunity to speak with the school’s senior leadership team to see first-hand how the school supports children to make a positive difference.
Lizzie Shackelford, Headteacher at New Horizons Primary School, which is in Portchester Road, North End, is looking forward to welcoming local families to their engaging learning environment: “Choosing a primary school for your child is one of the most important decisions a family will make, which is why our Open Events are the perfect opportunity to gain a real insight into our school.

“I’m proud to be the Headteacher here at New Horizons Primary School, where children develop a love for learning and understand how they can make such a positive difference. We look forward to seeing you very soon and can answer any questions you have."
The four core values of Respect, Resilience, Teamwork and Curiosity underpin everything the school strives to do for its young people.
