Titchfield garden centre is gearing up for festive season
Hambrooks Garden Centre, Titchfield is gearing up for the festive season, with a lovely Christmas game and other gifts available to buy from their Artisan Corner.
Destination Christmas is a lovely board game, created by Portsmouth entrepreneur, Rache Lowe and features elves in snow cabs who help Santa after his reindeer break free and he is left stranded on the village green. The game is on display in the Artisan Corner so that you can see inside the box.
Players race to help Santa deliver all his presents in time for Christmas but there are ‘nice’ and ‘nasty’ cards that can either help or hinder them along the way. The Christmas-themed family game also has a giving aspect as a minimum of £1 per game will be donated to Cash for Kids Mission Christmas appeal which takes place all over the UK, but money raised locally stays within the local area.
Last year, Cash for Kids helped over 14,000 children across the south and many of these were teenagers. Money from sales of Destination Christmas will help provide gifts for teenagers as there is always a shortfall in donations for this age group and the charity purchases additional gifts so that no child goes with a present on Christmas morning.
Phil Marsh, Hambrooks Garden Centre Manager, said: "We're delighted to be stocking Destination Christmas this year. It's a fun family game with a great charitable element. We love seeing visitors trying out games in our Artisan Corner while browsing the range of gifts and products available from local craft makers."
Hambrooks Garden Centre is a small, friendly independent garden centre with landscaping and garden design at its heart. Alongside quality plants and gardening essentials, visitors can browse a carefully selected range of garden ornaments and discover unique products from local makers in the Artisan Corner. Homemade cakes and festive afternoon teas are available in the cosy coffee shop, open daily from 10am to 3pm.
Seasonal Christmas workshops, including festive wreath-making, will also be taking place throughout the festive period. From 21st November, premium Nordmann and Fraser Fir Christmas trees will be available, and customers can enjoy trying Destination Christmas and other Destination games in store before choosing the perfect gift for family and friends.
The range of Destination games available in store include Destination The Repair Shop family game and 1000-piece puzzle. These are based on the popular TV series and won awards recently in the Independent Toy Awards 2026 - the board game won the prestigious ‘Gold’ award in the Licensed category, and the puzzle won a ‘Bronze’ award in the Jigsaw & Puzzle category. These awards are voted for by the UK’s independent toy retailers and are ideal as Christmas gifts for fans of The Repair Shop.
