Free giveaway to celebrate National Ice Cream Day on Sunday
Shoppers in Portsmouth can get their hands on a free ice cream this weekend as part of National Ice Cream Day celebrations.
The popular Swiss chocolatier Lindt are giving out a limited number of their ice creams for free on Saturday, July 18 and Sunday, July 19 at their outlet store in Gunwharf. The free ice creams will be dished out on a first come first serve basis with the offer coinciding with the launch of a new Dubai style chocolate ice cream sundae.
The new sundae is layered with crunchy Kadayif pastry and smooth pistachio sauce, and then topped with a Lindt Dubai Style Chocolate praline. It is not the only new product that will be available at the store with the release of a new Lindt Mango Milkshake which blends white chocolate ice cream with mango syrup.
Miquetta de Castro, Master Chocolatier at Lindt & Sprüngli UK, said: “With temperatures soaring this summer, we’re excited for chocolate fans to explore our freshly made ice creams and milkshakes only in Lindt stores. These indulgent creations are crafted with Lindt’s signature Swiss chocolate, from our newest Dubai Style Sundae and refreshing Mango Shake to our classic Crema Gelata delights.”
However, the new creations will not be part of the free giveaway, with customers getting a choice of the existing Crema Gelata range. Flavours include the classic milk chocolate, white chocolate, or milk and white chocolate combined. All of the range come in wafer cones or cups with melted Lindt chocolate inside and are topped with a square of dark chocolate
The giveaway is limited to one per person and are available while stocks last.
