A message from Fareham Police on Facebook said: ‘The number of break-ins seems to have settled a little since last week.

‘I appreciate this is no comfort to those that have been affected.’

The message added how the ‘weather certainly played its part this weekend where we saw a reduction in reported incidents’.

The update also revealed the ‘lowest levels’ of anti-social behaviour for several weeks - but still made up around 10 per cent of all incidents.
