D-Day 80 Anniversary in Portsmouth - How to watch live broadcast on TV

The BBC will be live broadcasting the events on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from 10.15am. Presented by Anita Rani with reporter JJ Chalmers, the broadcast, which is titled as D-Day 80: The Allies Prepare, the live broadcast will cover key events including the Red Arrows flypast, live music and multiple readings. The live broadcast will continue until 1pm this afternoon.

Hide AdThe morning event will welcome performances from Zak Abel, Emma Barton, JERUB and Marisha Wallace. The event will be hosted by Dame Helen Mirren who will celebrate the incredible joint work of the UK, Commonwealth and Allied troops in preparing for the largest naval, air and land operation in history.
The BBC will then continue the live broadcasting on BBC and BBC iPlayer from 8:30pm until 10pm. The evening programme will be hosted by Kirsty Young and there will be performances from Julie Fowlis, Jack Savoretti and Roderick Williams, accompanied by London Voices, will sing a rendition of Lacrymosa: Do Not Stand At My Grave and Weep.
There will also be an extended version of The One Show this evening which will last an hour, starting at 7pm on BBC One.
The day will consist of live music, a military parachute jump, a Red Arrows flypast and readings to honour the men that fought in the Normandy Landings. The D-Day 80 anniversary events in Portsmouth will be divided into a morning event and an evening event which will have an incredible light show.
