Love Island: Portsmouth girl Demi Jones puts on a brave face after being dumped by Nas Majeed

The 21-year-old got the chance to chat with her former beau tonight after the dust settled on Thursday’s dramatic re-coupling.

It saw Nas choose to couple up with new girl Eva Zapico, who he met when the Love Island lads were sent to the second villa, Casa Amor.

She may have shed a tear giving a piece to camera but Demi, from Cosham, stayed true to her feelings when she sat down with Nas after being dealt the bad news.

She was also given the chance to re-couple with a group of new boys, but was disappointed after her decision to stay with Nas was scuppered.

She told him: ‘I was not expecting that, Nas.

‘I feel sad because it feels like my time with you has been robbed.

‘I kind of feel like I have been only just starting with you and it's just been taken away from me now.’

Fans rooted for the former couple when they seemed to click upon style advisor Demi's entry to the famous ITV villa on January 27.

But Nas couldn't resist temptation when he and his pals were parachuted into new surroundings, alongside new girls.

The pair’s chat came after fellow islander Jess was seen to take Demi into her arms after the re-coupling.

Nas told her: ‘I genuinely think you are one of the most amazing people I have ever met.'

He added: ‘You are like a ray of sunshine.

‘I’m just sorry more than anything.’

Later in the show Demi shared a civil one-to-one chat with Eva and told the newbie ‘not to be sorry’ for stealing her man.

During his time at Casa Amor, 23-year-old builder Nas refused to get intimate with the 21-year-old for fear of upsetting Demi upon his return.

Eva told Demi: ‘He has been so respectful. He hasn’t said a bad word about you and he has spoken so highly about you.’

Demi concluded the chat by saying: ‘I’m a big girl, I've got this.'

Nas later apologised to Demi after she saw him smooching with Eva as the islanders settled down for bedtime.

In an odd development, the show concluded with a clip of rapper Sean Paul in the Love Island beach hut.

He looks set to join the contestants when antics continue at 9pm on Sunday.

Sean, 47 from Jamaica, once played at South Central Festival in Portsmouth.
