Over recent days The News has been looking at the famous faces who come from Portsmouth, but now we’ve cast our net out across the whole county. Here are 12 of the most famous people from the rest of Hampshire. 

One of the most famous British authors of all time was born in Steventon Rectory in Hampshire. She wrote Pride and Prejudice and many other novels. She is buried at Winchester cathedral.
The author of Atonement and other beloved novels, Ian McEwan was born in Aldershot
Singer, rapper and producer Craig David was born in Southampton. He is due to perform at the inaugural South Central Festival in Portsmouth this May.
This BBC Sport, Channel 4 and BT Sport presenter was born in Kingsclere in Hampshire in 1971.
Son of former Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp, he was born in Barton on Sea and went on to play for Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspurs, Southampton and England. He now works for Sky Sports as a pundit.
Creator of Thomas the Tank Engine, Wilbert Vere Awdry was born at Ampfield vicarage near Romsey in 1911
Born in Gosport he ran away to join the merchant navy at the age of 14. He later began a TV career staring in Hogan's Heroes and hosted Family Feud in America.
This model and actress who starred in the hit spy comedy Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery in 1997 was actually born in Basingstoke. She made her name as a spokesmodel for Estee Lauder.
Radio 1 DJ was born in Eastleigh and began his career with Hampshire radio company Power FM.
This gardening expert, who was part of the BBC Garden Force team, she was born in Southampton.
Born in Southsea in 1949, John is a TV and film director. He's directed 'Shakespeare in Love' starring Gwyneth Paltrow in 1998 as well as 'The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel' starring many British actors in 2011.
