Fareham cyclist, 39 dies after collision with motorcycle on Portsdown Hill

Police confirmed today that the 39-year-old man from Fareham has died after being taken to Southampton General Hospital with life threatening injuries following a collision on the B2177 Portsdown Hill Road earlier this week.

A motorcyclist with serious injuries was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital but police were unable to give an update on their condition.

On Wednesday a police spokesman said: ‘We were called at 8.35pm last night to a serious collision between a motorcycle and a pedal cycle on the B2177 Portsdown Hill Road, Portsmouth.

‘If you have dash cam footage or any other information about this incident, please call us on 101 quoting 44200044485.’
