Portsmouth disciplinary latest with key duo close to suspension threshold - EFL rules explained
Pompey have picked up 18 yellow cards in their opening 12 Championship matches this season.
It’s been an impressive start to the campaign at Fratton Park for John Mousinho’s troops, who could move into the play-offs with a win over Burnley on Saturday afternoon.
Injuries have already played a huge part in the opening weeks of the season, with the head coach forced to name three keepers on his bench against Sheffield United, Norwich City and Wolves.

Although those problems have since eased, Mousinho will be looking to avoid losing any member of his squad because of suspension.
The Blues are yet to lose anyone due to a ban for reaching five yellow cards, but there are two players who will be have one eye on the threshold.
EFL suspension rules state that any player who accumulates five yellow cards before game-week 19 must serve a one-game ban.
Ten bookings before match-week 32 will result in a two-game ban while 15 yellows before a team’s 38th contest will see a three-match suspension enforced.
Pompey duo close to suspension threshold
Ebou Adams and Marko Milovanovic are the two closest members of Mousinho’s squad who could land themselves in hot water.
The duo have both received three bookings each this term, with Adams cautioned against Charlton Athletic, Southampton and Sheffield United.
Marezi, meanwhile, has been handed yellow cards in all of Pompey’s previous three Championship matches against Norwich City, Wolves and Millwall.
Should the pair pick up a further two bookings in any of the Blues’ next seven games, then a suspension could be heading their way.
Pompey’s 19th game comes against West Brom on December 5, with more than a month for the duo to avoid two further yellows.

Pompey have picked up 18 bookings so far this season, the fourth least in the Championship.
With Adams and Marezi leading the way on three, there are not too many far behind the duo.
Jayden Meghoma, Ryan Kavuma-McQueen, Terry Devlin and Zak Swanson have all been shown yellow cards on two occasions, while Iyad Mohamed, Nicolas Schmid, Marlon Pack and Rocco Shein booked just once.
Although Pompey have escaped red cards this season, they’ve been involved in two games which has involved dismissals.
Cameron Bragg was given his marching orders in the south-coast derby for Southampton, while Hamza Choudhury was sent off for Sheffield United three-days later at Fratton Park.
