Pompey were humbled by non-league Aldershot, not for the first time, as they slumped to a poor defeat.
John Mousinho’s side were undone by two goals inside two minutes from Hakeem Sandah and Marcus Dinanga midway through the first half as their National League hosts ran out 2-0 winners.
And here are our Pompey player ratings...

5. Hayden Matthews - 6
(Replaced by Madiodio Dia on 46 mins) Paired with Knight and came to Pompey’s rescue on 32 minutes when he blocked a goal-bound shot with a gaping goal behind him after Killip’s mistake. Unfortunately, Aldershot still scored from the corner. | Simon Roe/ProSportsImages
6. Nathaniel Chioma - 6
(Replaced by Ibane Bowat on 46 mins) Lined up at left-back and put in a decent display, although there were struggles at times. Likes to come forward, yet had very few opportunities to make an impact in the opposition half. | Simon Roe/ProSportsImages
7. Fraser Thomas - 5
(Replaced by Luke Le Roux on 46 mins) Found it tough when faced with a powerful Aldershot midfield as the game largely passed him by. Will undoubtedly learn from it.
8. Odin Bailey - 7
(Replaced by Chinedu Agu on 46 mins) Competent display from the ex-Stockport man, who kept the ball well and tried to dictate Pompey from the centre of the park. Encouraging. | Portsmouth FC
