Pompey were humbled by non-league Aldershot, not for the first time, as they slumped to a poor defeat.
John Mousinho’s side were undone by two goals inside two minutes from Hakeem Sandah and Marcus Dinanga midway through the first half as their National League hosts ran out 2-0 winners.
And here are our Pompey player ratings...

9. Eoin Kenny - 5
(Replaced by Michael Ani on 46 mins) Not a match to remember for the newcomer. Produced one great cross late in the first half, but otherwise careless in possession, dominated by his defender and barely anything went right. Still settling in, of course. | Portsmouth FC

10. Adrian Segecic - 5
(Replaced by John Swift on 46 mins) Looked extremely frustrated during his time on the pitch, even before Aldershot took the lead. Couldn’t get on the ball enough from the number 10 position and struggled to make an impact as a result. | Simon Roe/ProSportsImages

11. Brandon Downey - 6
(Replaced by Billy Gillooly on 46 mins) Didn’t have the same impact as the previous evening at Woking, when he was one of the Blues’ better performers. Showed desire to track back, but wasn’t given enough of the ball to threaten in attack - 6 | Simon Roe/ProSportsImages

12. Dane Bailey - 6
(Replaced by Colby Bishop on 46 mins) Challenged to be Pompey’s lone striker and he was unable to make too much of an impact. Although, in fairness, the youngster wasn’t given too much to work with in the first half. | Colin Farmery
