Whiteley announces week of Halloween fun and family activities this half term
Whiteley is gearing up for a busy October half term, with a full week of family-friendly entertainment planned from Saturday 24th October to Sunday 1st November.

From Halloween character meet-and-greets and trick-or-treat trails for little ones, to charity markets raising money for local organisation Sophie’s Legacy, there will be plenty for families to enjoy throughout the week.
Mia Gordon, centre director at Whiteley, said: “October half term is always a brilliant time for families to get out and spend time together, and we’re excited to be bringing a full week of Halloween-themed activity to Whiteley this year.
“We’re also pleased to be supporting Sophie’s Legacy through our charity markets and Halloween Trail, which will bring local traders to the centre while raising money for an important local cause. Whether families are visiting for the entertainment, shopping or a day out together, we hope there will be something for everyone to enjoy.”
Highlights over the October half term include:
Witchy Duo character visits: On Saturday 24th October, the mischievous witchy duo will make an appearance at Whiteley, with enchanting performances, creepy games, and spellbinding meet-and-greets between 11am and 4pm.
Sophie’s Legacy Halloween Trail: Join Sophie’s Legacy for a family-friendly Halloween trail between 10am and 3.30pm on Friday 30th October. Families can hunt for hidden clues while collecting letters and stickers to solve the mystery and receive a Halloween medal and treat. There’s also the chance to meet ‘Promise the Penguin’ and other Halloween characters. Participation is £5 per person, with proceeds going to Sophie’s Legacy.
Sophie’s Legacy Charity Markets: Also on Friday 30th October, a collection of local, independent traders will host market stalls at Whiteley, offering everything from candles and home scents through to jewellery and baked goods. Money raised from the markets will also be donated to Sophie’s Legacy.
Pumpkin King & Ragdoll Queen character visits: On Halloween itself, families can visit Whiteley for more frightful fun. The Pumpkin King and Ragdoll Queen will be at the centre on Saturday 31st October, offering eerie entertainment, ghoulish games, and fang-tastic photo opportunities between 11am to 4pm.
Firework finale: And the fun doesn’t end with Halloween. On Sunday 1st November, Whiteley Town Council will host its annual fireworks display, allowing families to end half term with a bang. Gates open at 4.15pm, with fireworks starting at 7.15pm at Meadowside Recreation Ground. To make a day of it, families can enjoy a bite to eat at Whiteley to fuel up before the display or wind down afterwards.
