A woman who was photographed giving the thumbs-up could hold the key solving how a £40,000 Range Rover was bought with fake details.

The Range Rover Sport was purchased on finance and picked up from a dealership on Bridge Road, Swanwick on November 4.

A statement from Hampshire police said: ‘The person whose details were fraudulently used subsequently received the finance paperwork in the post.

‘The bank and the dealership were made aware of this before the police were informed.

‘We want to speak to the woman pictured, and are asking anyone who knows her to contact us.’

Hampshire Constabulary have also confirmed that the car has still not been recovered.

The woman may live outside Hampshire and anyone with information is asked to contact the police on 101 and quote reference 44200449096.
