Mini Town Role Play Cafe will open in Wellington Way, Waterlooville on Monday, October 28. Sessions are now open for booking on their website with everyone's favourite Aussie dog, Bluey, a special guest in their first week of trading.

The cafe is owned by Liam Howes and Liam Muns who also run the company Mini Ravers. Liam (Howes) is looking forward to the doors opening and seeing their months of hard work come to fruition.

He said: “We are really excited to get it open now and show everyone what we have been working on. It’s been an emotional rollercoaster. The idea is it is an all-in-one venue that is split down the middle.

“One side is for kids to be imaginative and dress up as a police officer or a fire and rescue, they can work in a supermarket or be a doctor, nurse or midwife. On the other side the parents can relax, drink coffee, eat cake and not worry about the kids running off because they are in a perfectly safe environment.”

Liam said: “We have always done family orientated events but we wanted to do something on our doorstep that we could call our own. We are both Dads and have been to these sort of places before and thought Waterlooville was crying out for one. We got the opportunity to do so with help from the council and we jumped at it.”

The role play side of it is suitable for children under the age of seven with a space for babies also on offer. A sensory room has also been created which gives a nod to both Liam's pasts when they would DJ at Tiger Tiger in Portsmouth.

Liam is hoping the space can be a social hub for parents looking to meet up with friends as well as a place to create new ones. He said: “We are really looking forward to welcoming people in, it’s going to be a nice little community hub for parents to come and meet new people and be a social hub. There is lack of place like that in Waterlooville so hopefully we can bring a bit of excitement back.”

Sessions can be booked via the Mini Town Role Play Cafe website.
