Charming Hampshire town axed from latest Muddy Stilettos Best Places to Live guide
Town loses place on Best Place to Live guide
A Hampshire town that excudes historical character has been axed from the latest ‘Best Place to Live’ guide.

After sitting firmly on Muddy Stilettos ‘Best Places to Live’ guide for the past few years, Emsworth has officially lost its place on the latest list for next year.
The area was previously described as “a charming harbour town with sailing links, coastal walks galore and strong community feel” by the lifestyle magazine which published its new guide earlier this month.

Covering 260 of the best places to live across England, the new listing is organised by each region, with eight standout locations in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight earning their place on the list.
Featured towns and villages include Alton, Andover, Cowes, Alresford, Lymington, Kingsclere, Petersfield and Romsey.
Muddy Stilettos said: “From picture-perfect villages to buzzy market towns and city hotspots, our Best Places to Live 2027 guide reveals the UK’s most desirable places to call home. Expect the inside track on brilliant schools, gorgeous Indie shops, foodie finds and local secrets.”
