My name is Fiona and I have worked at The News since 2018.

As the health reporter I cover all aspects of health - from local people living with unusual or debilitating illnesses and conditions, to updates from Queen Alexandra Hospital, to - of course - the latest on the Covid-19 pandemic.

Living in Portsmouth myself and with a background in healthcare, these are all issues that are close to my heart.

Prior to this year I worked as a BBC local democracy reporter based at The News covering Portsmouth City Council.
